I've pieced 2 quilt tops for friends who are dealing with Cancer and will have them machine quilted within the month. There was enough leftover from one of the quilts that I made a spare, don't you like that when it happens.
My DIL's sister and her husband had their first child and it was a sweet little girl so I quickly pieced a top and the plan is to quilt it up this weekend and have it ready for gifting when we see them in about 3 weeks. I'm so looking forward to holding this tiny bundle of greatly anticipated joy.
Yesterday I took a class that showcased a new to me ruler the " Mini Hex N More" by Julie Herman aka Jaybird Quilts. It was a relaxed but informative class and I came home with many tips and to me that's a win, win situation. All that is left to do is sew them together and add the binding and I say that like it'll only take a minute or two but we all know better than that.
Enjoy your Thursday everyone and may it involve anything that feeds your creative soul.
