What a great way to spend a week with like minded people who share the love of quilting. It also helps if someone else prepares delicious meals, does the clean-up, makes your bed in the morning and straightens it before you go to bed at night. Plus a chocolate on the pillow doesn't hurt either right. Just a few pictures of a great week and can't wait until the next time I can say Bon Voyage!
Our quilt teacher Natasha made the cruise a great success!
Oh yes and by the way, the next time you want a great trip use this character in black from West Shore Flight Centre, Miriam will make it happen!
Waiting for the van to take us to a local quilt shop and yes, it's serious business.
Some great finds at the quilt shop Rain Tree Quilting.
There is another fabulous quilt shop and it's just up those stairs and I brought home more goodies.
It was called Changing Tides and I could of spent a good couple of hours in there.
Here is a purchase from a yarn shop and don't you just love the colors, well...I do!
A view of Juneau from the tram we took and though I don't like heights I forced myself to do this and the view didn't disappoint.
Leaving Juneau just as the rains came, our timing was perfect.
I so enjoyed the Coffee Bar on board and got my moneys worth for sure.
I did actually work on the project but the visiting was wonderful too, thanks Della.
Pulling into Ketchican
The Ketchican excursion on The Aleutian Ballad was a highlight, they took us crab fishing, bait fishing and the tale of their lives at sea was as entertaining as it was sad.
The owners and crew of the crab boat.
Our waiter Ivan made our Dining experience an Experience and of course Cruiser got in on the action.
In fact Cruiser quite enjoyed his first cruise...there was a lot of monkeying going on.
And this how you look at the end of a fabulous quilt cruise thanks to Miriam and Natasha.
Bon Voyage until next time dear friends!
