Getting ready

Only eleven more sleeps until my Grand daughters will be here, we'll have them for 2 whole weeks.  It'll be their first time away from Mom and Dad for that length of time and I've been sewing and gathering crafts like a mad women. Can you have too many blingy items, scrapbooking paper, glue sticks, well you get the idea.  I've shopped Micheal's looking for bargains until I'm sure they think I'm doing something illegal.  You can never have too much is my motto and it's overflowing here but by gosh it's been so much fun, 'cause you know I personally love all that stuff myself and those two girls never had a chance, they were born with those genes too!  I've sewn Pillowcases, Placemats and even a Fabric Checkerboard which was an idea I got
from an entry at our local Quilt Guild show.  Bring it on, this Gramm is so excited she's bursting with glitter and thread.

Today hubby and I are off to enjoy a dinner out at a place called Carey Mews(http://www.ltgov.bc.ca/gardens/cary-mews/default.html )at Government House.  After an enjoyable meal we'll have the  opportunity to tour the first floor of Government House ( BC's Lieutenant Governor, Judith Guichon's official residence).  After which there'll be a concert on the lawn so with nice weather and a couple of lawn chairs our evening is planned.  I hope you get to enjoy your Summer in many memorable ways also.
