Suggestions

I would like to Hand-stitch this down so should I use an embroidery thread or something like 50W Aurifil with a long running stitch.  Any suggestions on thread color too, please?  I pieced it on my 301A Vintage Singer and it measures 12" by 20" and I want to use it on my end table.

What about black perle cotton? It is perfect for primitive chunky stitches...

I was going to say brown embroidery floss, but the black would stand out more to show off your stitches. Your little topper looks great...I love those spools! :0)

It's a little hard to see from the photo the colours of the quilt. But I think I would go with a beige quilting thread (I like YLI natural), and regular quilting stitch. It's a sweet quilt so not sure about the chunky stitches. What ever you decide, I'm sure it will look lovely on your table.

I would use Valdani black or dark brown in the lighter areas and beige Valdani in the darker areas using a big hand quilting stitch. Doesn't matter what the weight of the thread...whatever you can get your hands on is my motto!!
Very cute quilt...and will look sweet with whatever you pick!
